LIVING IN THE NORTH: Thinking It, Saying It, Building It ACFAS SYMPOSIUM in Sept-Iles, May 11th 2018

The Living in Northern Quebec research partnership is proud to collaborate in the organization of this symposium taking place at UQAC Sept-Iles on May 11th 2018. Marie-Ève Vaillancourt, from Cégep de Sept-Îles (an HLNQ partner) is a co-coordinator with Roberto Gauthier, UQAC. Varied and interdisciplinary presentations will address the North through social, cultural, economic, political, technological and climatic spheres. The symposium will provide space for researchers and actors from all disciplines and sectors to reflect on the ways each — man and North — are shaping the other. By encouraging a broader reflection on the concepts of place, space, living environments and geographical imagery, we hope to contribute challenging viewpoints northern living environments. This is a francophone conference.
