Catherine Claveau Fortin presented her research project on urban planning in the community of Inukjuak at the ArticNet conference in Vancouver last December. The main objective of the project is to assess how better knowledge on permafrost fit into the urban planning process in a northern community.

Catherine’s project is part of the Université Laval’s Cente d’études Nordiques, headed by Michel Allard, co-researcher in the project Living in Northern Quebec.
